During my practice, I have observed an interesting trend: people in a crisis situation quite often turn to me, which most often has already reached its climax and the person cannot cope on his own when he is already needed help. I will say without false modesty that with this kind of requests, when a person is in an acute condition and needs immediate help in the here and now, I have always been able to work very well. Even at the very beginning, when I was just trying individual work, I noted the consistency of such requests and my the ability to navigate this. Even at the first meeting, when it seemed like time was needed to approach and build contact, I masterfully managed to break down a difficult situation and, together with the client, “steer” to the optimal solution. After all, if we think objectively, not every person who comes to a psychologist needs constant therapy, not everyone goes to work on your own personality, character and behavior. Many simply need advice in the current circumstances and the person resorts to the help of a psychologist, but otherwise he can feel great. This trend still does not change, because no matter what happens in the world, each person has his own life, and of course his own complexities and difficulties, critical situations that require immediate solutions. Frankly speaking, I am always happy when I understand that in just 50 minutes it is possible to remove the intensity of horror and the hypertrophied “everything is bad and there is no way out.” It is also interesting that in such work in the form of consultations there are constant clients who come from time to time for a couple of meetings, and the rest of the time they feel stable and do not need regular meetings. And you know, every time I am convinced that everything is not in vain, that my profession is not an easy profession, but something more, like purpose of yourself in your life. Therefore, dear friends and just those who are reading this post now, I want to tell you with all my heart: “You are not alone and you are not alone, there is always someone nearby who is ready to respond to help, even in the most seemingly an insoluble situation and I’m definitely one of those people!” When it seems that there is no way out, it just seems, there is always a way out and there is always a solution, but if you can’t see it yourself, then together with a specialist you will definitely find it.
